Learning Numerology in Three Steps

It doesn’t take much to learn numerology.  This is one of those esoteric sciences that are quite simple to figure out once you have the proper method and materials at hand. To learn numerology all you need to know is how to make letters correspond to numbers, the different combinations of letters you’ll need to add for different numerology numbers and the meanings of the different numbers in numerology.

There are two basic ways to calculate numerology numbers for a person.  One is by using their birth date and the other is by adding together the letters in a person’s name.  Adding together the numbers in a birth date is pretty self-explanatory.  It takes a little extra knowledge to add together the letters of a person’s name.

Making Letters Correspond to Numbers

Any word or name can be added together to find it’s basic numerology numbers, you’ve just got to know which numbers correspond to which letters.  There is a standard chart that all numerologist follow when assigning numbers to letters of the alphabet.  This chart uses only the number one through nine and groups letters accordingly in batches of two or three.

Below is the chart to use when you learn numerology for assigning numbers to letters of the alphabet.

1.       A, J, S

2.       B, K, T

3.       C, L, U

4.       D, M, V

5.       E, N,W

6.       F, O, X

7.       G, P, Y

8.       H, Q, Z

9.       I, R

To use this chart, you simply look for the letter you need to assign a number too and you’ll find it grouped with a number from one to nine.  For example, the letter, B, corresponds to the number 2 in numerology.

Then you add all of the numbers up, until you get a final single digit number.  For example, the first name ‘Bill’ has the numbers, 2, 9, 3, 3, in it.  These numbers added together equal, 17.  The two digits in 17, are 1 and 7.  These two digits added together equal the numerology number 8.

Different Numerology Numbers

When you learn numerology you’ll be looking for three basic number vibrations in every name or word you add together.  These are the Expression Number, Motivation Number and Persona Number.

Your Expression Number reveals your personal mission in life and gives an idea of what you can do to find your mission and live a satisfactory life.  This number is created by adding together all of the letters in you name until you reach a single digit number.

Your Motivation Number describes your personal needs and desires.  These can be things you aren’t even aware of about yourself.  It’s also called the Soul Urge Number.  This number vibration is found by adding up just the vowels in a name.  For example, the Motivation Number of ‘Billie’ is 5 because the letters ‘i,i, and e’ correspond to 9, 9, and 5.  These added together and reduced equal the number 5.

Your Persona Number shows you have others see you or the way you present yourself to the world.  This number vibration is found by adding up the consonants in a name.  For example, the name ‘Billie’ contains the consonants, ‘b, l, and l’.  The corresponding numbers are 2, 3, and 3, which add up to make the final number 6

Now you know how to assign numbers to different letters of the alphabet and what three basic numbers to look for in a name.  From here it’s easy to learn numerology and all you need is a good interpretive book.
