Connections between Astrology and Numerology

There are many connections between astrology and numerology.  In fact as you learn numerology you’ll probably notice that many of the personality descriptions found for the Personal Destiny Number are similar to specific astrological signs characteristics.  For example, the number five person tends to be quick minded and is always curious about new things and information, not to mention being a bit of a gossip, which is very similar to the characteristics for Gemini. 

Similarities between Astrology and Numerology

Many people may even find that their personal numerology vibrations correspond closely with their own astrology signs.  A number four person may actually be a Taurus in astrology. Both descriptions indicate a desire for stability and a conservative nature with money.

In fact, numerologists often go as far as including astrology and numerology both, in their numerology charts or at least making comparisons with astrological signs in descriptions.  Simply because more people are familiar with astrology than numerology and just about everyone knows the basic characteristics of the 12 signs of the Zodiac.  So, it’s much easier for a numerologist to say, ‘You’re a number 6 in Expression, which means that like a Cancer sign, you’ll tend to help and nurture others.’ 

There is nothing wrong with this combination of the two sciences.  In fact, both deal with numbers and how they affect or represent the influences of the physical world.  An astrologer uses numbers in the form of degrees and seconds to chart the placement of the planets, while a numerologist uses numbers along with addition and subtraction to reveal basic vibrational numbers.

Both of the sciences work to create personality charts, forecast charts and even compatibility charts.  You’ll be quite surprised at how much insight numerology can provide into your life, when you take a more in-depth look at the topic.  In some ways numerology can provide you with more information than astrology. 

Separate Strengths of Astrology and Numerology

For example, you can use numerology to discern the basic nature of objects by adding their names up to find the Personal Destiny Number.  You can look at the correlations between objects and people, people and events, people and people when they tend to share the same numerology numbers. 

You can also find your lucky numbers using numerology, and much easier than with astrology.

Whereas, astrology has strengths in other areas.  It gets down to the minutes and seconds of your birth, as well as the place you were born so has the potential to provide more unique details about your personality, tendencies and goals in life. 

As esoteric arts, astrology and numerology are both good to practice.  Each has it’s own strengths.  Yet, they also overlap in areas to make for interesting comparisons in analysis.
